Lake Winnipeg East – Transmission line

In 2016, ODK Engineering provided construction management services on behalf of the Black River First Nation through their Economic Development Group. ODK Engineering assisted the First Nation in developing and implementing a plan to clear approximately 28km of forest along the proposed 60m-wide transmission line route. The warmer-than-usual winter that year coupled with the tight completion deadline proved challenging, but even with these obstacles, the project was completed on time, within budget, and with the maximum number of local resources used.
