Bipole III – Transmission line – Environmental

Completed in April 2018, our work on the Bipole III transmission line was our largest project to date. ODK was the prime consultant to the general contractor and provided environmental monitoring services for over 700km of the line. It was our job to address environmental concerns as they arose and make sure the environmental license regulations were followed.

Bipole I and II

ODK Engineering is currently providing survey services to Rokstad Power for the replacement of spacer dampers along the existing Bipole I and II transmission lines. Our surveyors are providing the location of these spacer dampers along the transmission line.

Gillam, MB – Water and sewer system upgrade

In 2016, ODK worked alongside KGS group as design consultant to upgrade the Town of Gillam’s water and sewer system. Being cognizant of the many obstacles presented when working in Northern Manitoba, ODK aided KGS group in overcoming issues and ensuring success.

Keewatinohk – Converter station decommissioning

ODK Engineering is overseeing the decommissioning of the Keewatinohk converter station camp site and associated infrastructure. The project consists of reclamation of the land at several quarries and construction staging areas used during the building of the converter station, installation of water and sewer system for Manitoba Hydro’s permanent site residences, and decommissioning of Camp Lagoon. ODK is providing the on-site supervision, quality control, safety, and environmental management. This work is being completed through a joint venture agreement between ODK and Fox Lake Cree Nation.

Welcome to ODK Engineering. Founded in 2013, we are a rapidly growing engineering company that is proudly owned by Indigenous professionals.

We offer project management, civil engineering, construction management, consulting, surveying, and environmental services. Since our first project with Ebb and Flow First Nation in 2013, we have worked on multiple projects for a large number of First Nations in Manitoba. We also work with other Manitoba-based organizations on projects such as Manitoba Hydro’s Bipole III Transmission Line.

Our goal is to not only deliver Indigenous-led project management, engineering, and construction services, but to improve the communities we work in and enhance opportunities for First Nations people.
